Santa Monica College offers studies in more than 80 disciplines. Popular courses and degrees include business, psychology, graphic design, game development, post-production & visual effects, interior design, fashion merchandising, theatre arts, journalism and physical education.

SMC offers studies at undergraduate level, and you can study up to an Associate Degree which takes approx. 2 years. You can then apply for transfer to another university to complete your bachelor degree. SMC is a leader among the state's Community Colleges when it comes to transfer of students to universities such as University of California and University of Southern California. SMC has its own Transfer Counseling Center LINK which helps you transfer your degree!

SMC requires average grades from your previous study. All new students must take a so-called Assessment test in English and math when they start, so there are no additional requirements for English proficiency.
