HCC is located in the metropolitan region of Tampa, Florida – about one hour west of Orlando on the beautiful Gulf Coast. The Tampa Bay region is home to magnificent marine life, sports attractions, excellent cultural venues, and great shopping and dining opportunities.

Students at HCC enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities around Tampa, including camping, hiking, horseback riding, biking, fishing, scuba diving, sailing, boating, and kayaking. 35 miles of white sand beaches and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, is just a short drive away.
The region also has local attractions such as Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, and MOSI (Museum of Science & Industry).
In addition, popular theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld are in nearby Orlando.
A sunny, humid, subtropical climate. Temperatures are hot from around mid-May through mid-October, with temperatures from 24-30 °C. Winters in the Tampa Bay Area are generally dry and mild. On average, there are almost 250 sunny days per year in the city of Tampa.
