Tuolumne Apartments at UCSD

If you prefer off-campus housing UCSD Extension recommend the nearby apartments offered by Anatolia Housing. Many different options available through Anatolia Housing, in different price ranges. The apartments are close to campus (15 minutes by bus or bicycle). Applicants will live with other international students, and they will share their bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area (two people to a room, four to an apartment, two bathrooms per apartment). Some private rooms are also available. Same-gender apartments only (couple accommodations available upon special request).

Some of the housing options, e.g. the luxury apartments Costa Verde (with a pool and a gym), are available for 1 month leases, meaning that students can live there while they are looking for a cheaper option. They may also be able to extend their lease for a quarter, or even a year if they want to extend their stay.

Students can also find private shared accommodation through other providers. Note: Students should never pay anything before you have seen the apartment in person. Therefore, you should arrange temporary accommodation for when you first arrive. You can consider booking a room in a hotel/hostel, or booking a place through Airbnb or similar services - either alone or with other students.

Popular areas for student accommodatino include:

  • Pacific Beach
  • Mission Beach
  • University Town Center
  • La Jolla - a nice area, but might be best suited for mature students or students with families

Some students might consider homestay as an alternative, i.e. to live with a local family. Please contact KILROY's study advisors for more information about this.
