Located in Cupertino, De Anza College has a distinct architecture that is in harmony with the surrounding community and creates a natural, comfortable campus atmosphere. The buildings are a blend of Spanish and modern architecture with adobe-like walls, red-tile roofs, arches, and fountains. The Flint Center, a major performing arts auditorium, has hosted many outstanding speakers and cultural events, such as the symphony, ballets, and Broadway shows. The De Anza College has an Olympic aquatics complex, a 5000-seat Outdoor Events Arena, the Fujitsu Planetarium and the Advanced Technology Center.

De Anza is conveniently connected by highways and public transportation to San Francisco, Berkeley, Sacramento and many fun and exciting places in Northern California. De Anza is located only 20 minutes by car to Stanford University, five hours drive to the mountain for skiing in the winter and 30 minutes to the ocean to enjoy a lovely day on the beach. Life is quieter and more reflective on the Foothill campus. The parklike setting and award winning architecture encourage close relationships between students and faculty. Built in 1961, the campus is located in Los Altos Hills, a comfortable upper middle-class community near Stanford University. The American Institute of Architects has twice honored Foothill for its outstanding design. It has been called "the most beautiful community college ever built". Enrolment averages 20,000 students. Like most community colleges, Foothill and De Anza does not have any dormitories on campus and does not directly arrange housing for students. However, their international offices provides informational resources and assistance to help you find the most comfortable housing option for you. Most international students at Foothill and De Anza choose to stay in private apartment complexes nearby or with American host families through a homestay program.

These homestays provide partial meals (breakfasts and dinners) and serve as excellent opportunities for students to learn more about the American culture and improve their English skills. If you prefer to live on your own or with another student, you can also contact the ISP Homestays for apartment living and shared housing. Foothill and De Anza Colleges recommend that you consider living in a homestay for at least the first 3 months if you have never lived abroad or in the U.S.
