Sited on a 356-acre campus in the heart of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, CSUN is a vibrant, diverse university with over 40,000 students and 4,000 faculty and staff. The campus has state of the art buildings such as the Valley Performing Arts Center and Student Recreation Center.
CSUN facilities include the Oviatt Library, with approximately 1.4 million books and periodicals, computer labs, sports and athletic facilities, recreational centers, an on-campus bank, and a full-service student health center. There are also many shops, restaurants, and supermarkets in walking distance from the campus.
Throughout the year, CSUN offers hundreds of on-campus events, like concerts, theatrical performances, films, guest speakers, and sports competitions.
The majority of student housing is managed by the CSUN campus housing office which you can visit for more information regarding general housing questions. On-campus housing is available at the University Park Apartments, located at the north end of campus. Spacious two-bedroom apartments are fully furnished and have recreational facilities including swimming pools, a jogging track and basketball and sand volleyball courts. Computer labs are available to residents. In-room data connections also are available to residents who own their own computers.
The full range of support services offered to Semester at CSUN students, includes academic advisement and assistance in choosing appropriate courses, assistance with registration, and general assistance throughout the semester to ease assimilation with campus life.
