Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School has two really modern campuses.

  • Leura campus
    The Applied learning residential campus is located in Leura, 1,5 hour west of Sydney. The campus offers a simulated hotel environment to the students. The first two year of all bachelor degrees are located here.
  • Sydney campus
    The executive business centre in located right in the business district of Sydney. All 3th year bachelor and master students are located here.

Student accommodation at Blue Mountains: on and off campus

Blue Mountains Hotels School offers housing to their students. The accommodation for students at Blue Mountains depends on which year of your studies you are in. 

All first year bachelor students must live on campus in Leura. You will live here in twin share hotel style rooms, with private ensuite bathrooms and internet access. As everybody gets a roommate assigned by the school, it is not possible for first year students to have individual rooms. As a second year students you have 3 options to choose from:

  • live on the Leura campus 
  • live off campus in fully managed and serviced furnished local houses by the school 
  • live off campus in your own sourced and managed rental property

All third year bachelor and master students study at the campus in Sydney, which is a non-residual campus. Students live off campus and mostly together with other students. Blue Mountains can offer apartments close by campus, but these are limited. Some popular website to check for accommodation are:

Campus life at Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School 

The first 2 years of all bachelor degrees take place at the Leura campus. This campus is run by students as a type of simulated hotel, offering a hands-on experience to all students. The campus is located close to one of the most spectacular and popular tourist attractions of Australia, the Blue Mountains National Park.

Students are expected to wear business attire on an everyday basis. As many students live on campus throughout the whole year, many recreational activities are provided. You can relax and hang out with other students at the game and pool tables or TV and lounge areas on the campus. Besides this, there are 3 restaurants on campus and all meals are included for students during study terms. In case you are looking for a little bit more action, there is also a soccer field, basketball / tennis court, in-ground swimming pool, gymnasium, sunbathing area and a BBQ area. You can also join some of the local sport teams (cricket, football,...) or local activities such as bushwalks and visiting some of the amazing sceneries close by.  What more can you wish for?

The Sydney campus is home for students enrolling into the master degrees at Blue Mountains and for the third year students of the Bachelor studies. This campus is located right in the business district of the city. You are literally just minutes away from gyms, swimming pools, recreational centres, entertainment venues, restaurants etc. Sydney is known as one of the most liveable cities in the world and you can find here everything from beach life to arts, from music to sports and numerous shopping malls.

What can I do during the study break?

The school is closed during the Christmas break. Many internatioanal students use this time to go travelling around Australia or find some local work in Sydney. Transportation

Both campuses are easily reachable by public transport. It is really easy to get around in Leura, Sydney and the surrounding areas. The Leura campus is located about a one-hour drive west of Sydney and it takes about 2 hours by train.
